I have always wanted to be a writer, but I have always doubted myself and my abilities. One excuse led to another and life happened.
I was raised in my uncle’s church and have always been passionate for serving the Lord and serving in my church. I truly believe that we have different callings from God. Often times we become consumed with figuring what our actual calling is that we can neglect our relationship with the Lord.
In the year of 2020 who knew life would forever be altered. During the COVID-19 Pandemic the world was shocked and quickly reminded that in an instant life can change. For many this pandemic changed their lives forever. I had become positive with COVID.
During this time, it forced me to slow down. While in quarantine I spent lots of time with God. I began to examine my relationship with God. He spoke, I listened in obedience to him. Shortly after that God put in my heart to start writing a Women’s devotional.
Before I knew it, everything started falling into place just as God had said. In January 2021, I found an amazing writing coach, Nicol McClendon.
She and I began talking about ideas, she sent me worksheets, and offered her advice. I prayed on it and on January 29th, 2021 I officially made that step to become an author.
My prayer is to touch as many lives as God places in my path. I pray that readers can not only feel encouraged, supported, and spiritually fed; but, will feel motivated to write and tell their stories.
To God be ALL of the glory and honor!
